The fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is scheduled to take place on May 20 (Monday), involving 49 seats spread across six states and two Union Territories. The states and Union Territories participating in this phase are Uttar Pradesh (14 seats), Maharashtra (13 seats), West Bengal (7 seats), Bihar (5 seats), Jharkhand (3 seats), Odisha (5 seats), Jammu and Kashmir (1 seat), and Ladakh (1 seat).
To ensure their eligibility to vote, all registered voters are advised to verify their names on the electoral rolls. The Election Commission of India (ECI) website provides multiple options for checking voter status. Individuals can search for their names using their Voter ID number, phone number, or personal details, such as date of birth, district name, assembly constituency, and relative’s information.
Once their names are confirmed on the electoral rolls, voters can use their EPIC number to download a digital version of their Voter ID. The EPIC number can also be utilized to locate their assigned polling station and access other relevant information, such as the details of the local polling officer.
