In the seventh and final phase of the general election held on June 1, 2024, polling was conducted for 57 constituencies spread across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, including Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seeking a third consecutive term in the Lok Sabha. West Bengal emerged as the state with the highest voter turnout at 69.89%, while Bihar registered the lowest at 50.79%. The voter turnout in other participating states was as follows: Himachal Pradesh – 67.53%, Jharkhand – 69.59%, Odisha – 63.57%, Punjab – 55.86%, Uttar Pradesh – 55.60%, and Chandigarh – 62.80%.
