The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections campaign ended on May 11th, with 96 seats across 10 states and Union Territories scheduled to go to the polls on May 13th. All seats in Andhra Pradesh (25) and Telangana (17) will be contested on Monday. Several constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir will also participate in this round of voting. With the conclusion of this phase, citizens in 23 states and UTs will have cast their votes to elect their representatives. Politicians from all parties will continue to campaign on May 12th, 2024. Notably, PM Modi is scheduled to hold a road show in Patna on May 12th, marking the first time a Prime Minister has done so in the city. He aims to garner support for BJP candidates Ram Kripal Yadav and Ravi Shankar Prasad, who are contesting from the Patliputra and Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seats, respectively. PM Modi will also address four rallies in West Bengal during the day. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is expected to meet with all AAP MLAs on Sunday. This meeting will be his first with the MLAs since securing interim bail till June 1st in a money laundering case linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. On May 11th, Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi accepted an invitation from two prominent jurists and a senior editor to participate in a public debate. In his response, Mr. Gandhi stated that either he or Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge would attend the debate and inform the organizers if PM Modi agreed to participate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kolkata on Saturday night to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal. Mr. Modi arrived from Jharkhand and proceeded by road to the Raj Bhavan amid tight security after landing at the airport. He is scheduled to address election rallies in Barrackpore in North 24 Parganas district, Panchla in Howrah, and Chinsurah and Pursura in Hooghly district. The PM was welcomed at the Raj Bhavan by Governor CV Ananda Bose.
