Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Returns with Enhanced Zombie-Slaying Action
Twelve years since its original release, Lollipop Chainsaw is making a grand return with Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, a digital-only remake scheduled to launch on September 25th for various platforms. This remake promises an upgraded experience with improved graphics, faster loading times, and a revamped combat system.
The game will feature two modes: Original, which retains the classic gameplay, and RePOP, which introduces pop-art damage effects for a less violent aesthetic. Juliet, the iconic zombie-slaying cheerleader, will now have access to 30 outfits and a wider array of chainsaws with unique abilities.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP also includes a new real-time attack mode with six stages and general balancing adjustments throughout the game. For newer players, the option to enable auto quick-time events is available. Additionally, Dragami Games has announced that a physical edition of the remake will be released at a later date.
The original game’s creators, Suda51 and James Gunn, are not involved in this remake. However, the remake was announced in 2022 by the original game’s executive producer, Yoshimi Yasuda, and the new studio, Dragami Games.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be available digitally at launch for $50. Get ready to unleash some zombie-slaying action when it arrives on September 25th!
