Composting Expansion in Longmont

The Sustainability Advisory Board will present a resolution to the City Council advocating for increased composting accessibility. The board proposes initiatives such as educational campaigns and collaborations with A1 Organics, the city’s compost processor, to reduce contamination and support the viability of large-scale composting facilities in the region.

US 287 Safety Study

The City Council will also discuss the findings of the Boulder County U.S. 287 Vision Zero Safety and Mobility Study. The study recommends measures to eliminate fatal and severe injury crashes, including the installation of a center median barrier along rural sections of the corridor. Councilmember Diane Crist has noted concerns from businesses regarding high-speed traffic entering the city on North Main Street (U.S. 287).

The regular City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
