Publisher CI Games has announced the release of update 1.5 for the soulslike game Lords of the Fallen, marking the final milestone for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S versions of the game. Developed by Hexworks, this update introduces a modifier system that transforms Lords of the Fallen into a roguelite experience, offering players a new level of customization and challenge.
Modifier System Revamps Gameplay
The Master of Fate update introduces a wide range of modifiers, enabling players to tweak and customize playthroughs for a truly unique experience every time. These modifiers allow players to adjust various aspects of the game, including difficulty, enemy behavior, and loot drops.
Post-Launch Roadmap Concluded
Hexworks has been diligently working on Lords of the Fallen since its launch in October 2023, releasing over 30 updates to address bugs and improve performance. With update 1.5, the post-launch roadmap has been completed, making the Lords of the Fallen experience “the best it’s ever been,” according to Saul Gascon, Hexworks Executive Producer and Head of Studio.

CI Games is now turning its attention to the future of the Lords of the Fallen franchise. Building on the success of the first game, which sold over 1.3 million copies as of the end of 2023, the publisher plans to release further installments with refined game design and capitalize on the growing popularity of the IP.
