LOT Polish Airlines, Poland’s flag carrier and a long-standing global airline, has strengthened its presence in Saudi Arabia by appointing APG as its online General Sales Agent (GSA). This agreement aims to enhance sales development, provide comprehensive agent and passenger support, and implement extensive marketing initiatives within the region.
The airline marked a significant milestone on June 4, 2024, with the inauguration of its inaugural flight to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital city. This makes Riyadh the second destination on the Arabian Peninsula added to LOT’s flight network, following Dubai. The new route to Saudi Arabia adds to a list of destinations launched in 2024, including Tashkent, Athens, and Oradea.
Direct flights between Poland and Saudi Arabia, operated by LOT Polish Airlines, will operate three times a week. Departures from Warsaw Chopin Airport are scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 3:20 p.m., while return flights from Riyadh are set for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1:25 a.m. local time. The flight to Riyadh takes approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes, and the return journey takes 5 hours and 30 minutes, powered by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
This new Riyadh-Warsaw connection provides passengers from the Arabian Peninsula with direct access to Poland and opens up numerous other appealing destinations within LOT’s extensive network. LOT offers a variety of direct flights to major Western European cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt. For those planning transatlantic travel, LOT Polish Airlines also provides direct flights to Canada and the United States, including Toronto, New York, Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles.
