LSU gymnastics star Livvy Dunne and her teammates, Kiya Johnson, Haleigh Bryant, Savannah Schoenherr, and Aleah Finnegan, celebrated their first national championship victory with a promotional appearance at a Raising Cane’s in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Tuesday. Dunne, who is known for her popularity both on and off the balance beam, drew a crowd of fans eager to meet the national champion. She and her teammates handed out food to hungry LSU supporters, with Dunne even taking over the drive-thru at one point and introducing herself to customers.
Dunne chatted with TMZ Sports about scoring the Tigers’ first-ever national title over the weekend, saying, “The whole school is just so excited, and I’m so happy that we got to make history and bring home LSU gymnastics’ first national championship.” She added, “I think this whole surge in women sports is amazing. These girls worked so hard and its so amazing seeing these results.”
The celebration will continue for Dunne and LSU with a championship parade and ceremony at PMAC on Wednesday.
