Lucid Group, Inc. (LCID) took center stage at its Technology & Manufacturing Day event, held at the company’s Arizona factory on Tuesday. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the highly anticipated Gravity electric SUV. This sleek and powerful SUV is set to become a major player in the rapidly growing EV market.
One of the key features of the Gravity is its inclusion of a NACS charging connector. This will grant owners access to over 15,000 Superchargers, ensuring convenient and widespread charging options. Production of the Gravity is scheduled to begin later this year.
“Today demonstrates how the Lucid Gravity is set to be the best SUV ever, showcasing its revolutionary package and attributes only made possible with the technologies Lucid has pioneered,” said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO at Lucid.
Beyond the Gravity, Lucid also provided a sneak peek at an upcoming midsize crossover EV. This new vehicle is set to hit production in late 2026 and will be priced competitively under $50,000, making it a compelling option for a wider range of consumers.
Lucid’s ambitious plans for the Gravity and the new crossover demonstrate the company’s commitment to expanding its EV portfolio and solidifying its position as a leader in the industry. These new models, coupled with the company’s existing offerings, promise to bring a wave of innovation and sustainability to the automotive landscape.
