Lufthansa City Airlines Launches New Route from Birmingham to Munich
Lufthansa City Airlines, a new airline launched by German flag carrier Lufthansa, is expanding its European route network with a new route from Birmingham to Munich. The new route will launch on June 26, 2024, with daily flights operating between Birmingham Airport and Munich Airport.
The new route will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft and will depart from Birmingham Airport at 10.50am, arriving in Munich at 1.40pm local time. Return flights will depart from Munich at 3.55pm, landing back in Birmingham at 4.55pm.
Tickets for the new route are now on sale, with one-way economy light fares starting from £99 per person and return tickets costing £228 per person. Lufthansa City Airlines is also planning to launch a new route between Manchester and Munich, although more details have yet to be released.
The launch of the new route from Birmingham to Munich is part of Lufthansa City Airlines’ plans to expand its operations and strengthen Lufthansa’s planned growth in long-haul traffic. The airline will begin its operations with an Airbus A320 and will also add 40 brand-new fuel-efficient Airbus A220-300 aircraft to its fleet in the coming years.
The new route from Birmingham to Munich is a welcome addition to the UK’s aviation network and will provide passengers with more choice and convenience when traveling between the two cities.
