Lufthansa Airlines has unveiled its latest premium lounge, a luxurious haven for travelers at Newark Liberty International Airport’s Terminal B. This 600 square meter space is designed to provide comfort and convenience, catering to the needs of discerning passengers.
The lounge’s centerpiece is the centrally located Skyline Bar, where guests can indulge in a vast selection of beverages. From cocktails and wines to spirits and non-alcoholic options, the bar also offers craft beers sourced locally from New Jersey.
The culinary offerings are equally impressive. The bistro area serves fresh regional dishes, with highlights this summer including Jersey cornbread with candied tomato jam and sandwiches featuring trumpet mushrooms, bacon, crisp lettuce, and tomato chutney on sourdough bread. First Class passengers and HON Circle members can enjoy an exclusive à la carte menu within a private dining area, complemented by a curated list of top wines and champagne.
Lufthansa has invested approximately 10 million euros in this state-of-the-art lounge, showcasing their commitment to enhancing the premium travel experience. Victoria Schuster, Vice President Product & Customer Experience Lufthansa Airlines, stated, “We are proud to be able to present our guests in Newark with a new lounge that sets new standards. It offers private travelers cozy retreats for relaxation and our business customers generous workspaces.”
The lounge, which can accommodate approximately 170 guests, is a 25% increase in capacity compared to its predecessor. It is accessible to First and Business Class passengers flying with any Lufthansa Group airline to Newark, as well as HON Circle members and Senators.
Designed with versatility in mind, the lounge caters to both business and leisure travelers. About one-third of the space is dedicated to business travelers, offering functional communal tables equipped with wireless charging and wireless printing capabilities. The remaining space is designed for relaxation, providing comfortable seating arrangements for solo travelers, couples, and larger groups. The lounge also includes multifunctional rooms that can be used for meetings, calls, or even as a play area for children.
Lufthansa currently operates around 60 lounges across 17 locations worldwide, consistently providing its guests with a comfortable and convenient space to relax or work before their journey.
