Luke Bryan is taking his recent on-stage fall in stride, joking that it might even help his career. The 47-year-old singer fell during a performance at the Coast City Country Festival in Canada on Saturday, April 20. Bryan checked himself for any injuries before throwing a phone to a fan in the crowd, joking, “It’s OK. Hey, my lawyer will be calling.” He later held up another phone for the audience, watching the footage of himself and joking that the clip had “viral” potential.
In an interview published on Monday, April 22, Bryan said that the fall was caused by a slick stage, not a phone. He also joked that his “viral moments” might work in his favor, saying, “You know, my new single is ‘Love You, Miss You, Mean It.’ You know, I just gotta get the bumper sticker made for ‘I Bust My Ass and This Is My New Single.'”
Bryan is known for his energetic stage presence and his ability to connect with his fans. His fall has been met with a mixture of concern and amusement from fans and fellow musicians. However, Bryan is taking it all in stride, showing that he can laugh at himself even after a mishap.
Despite the fall, Bryan is still scheduled to perform at several upcoming concerts. He will be headlining the Faster Horses Festival in Michigan on July 19 and 20, and the Watershed Music and Camping Festival in Washington on July 26 and 27. Bryan is also scheduled to perform at several other festivals and concerts throughout the summer and fall.
