Following the tragic death of Riley Strain, a University of Missouri senior who disappeared from Luke Bryan’s downtown bar, Luke’s 32 Bridge, Nashville police have closed their formal investigation. Strain’s lifeless body was later discovered in the Cumberland River.
In the aftermath, Luke Bryan has extended his sympathies to Strain’s bereaved family. Chris Dingman, a close family friend, revealed that Bryan had contacted the family via his manager. Bryan expressed his condolences and mentioned the possibility of engaging in a personal conversation with them.
However, Strain’s family remains doubtful about the circumstances surrounding his demise. Chris Whiteid, Strain’s stepfather, alleges that a bartender continued serving Strain alcohol after he was visibly intoxicated. Luke’s 32 Bridge maintains that Strain was only served one alcoholic beverage.
Adding to the family’s skepticism, the medical examiner’s report indicated the absence of water in Strain’s lungs and no visible bruises or cuts on his body. Chris Whiteid believes that if Strain had fallen into the water accidentally from an inclined surface, he would have likely sustained head injuries or other wounds.
Despite police classifying the incident as an accident, Strain’s family remains unconvinced, suggesting that someone may have assisted him into the water.
