Kleintank, who portrays Supervisory Special Agent Scott Forrester, the head of the FBI Fly Team unit, will bid farewell to the series in an episode airing on May 7, 2023.
Kleintank’s decision to leave ‘FBI: International’ was driven by a desire to prioritize his family. “After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave ‘FBI: International’,” the actor said in a statement. “This decision is driven by my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are paramount in my life.”
Kleintank’s departure comes after the series recently underwent a cast shake-up, with Heida Reed exiting in the season premiere. Reed played Special Agent Jamie Kellett, who transferred to the Washington, D.C. field office after her sister’s suicide.
Despite the departures of Kleintank and Reed, ‘FBI: International’ has been renewed by CBS for a fourth season, along with its sister series ‘FBI’ and ‘FBI: Most Wanted’. The series is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, in association with CBS Studios.
