Macao Kicks Off “Experience Macao, Ma Ma Macao” Roadshow in Bangkok
The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has kicked off the “Experience Macao, Ma Ma Macao” roadshow at the Central World shopping complex in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 14, 2024. The roadshow aims to promote Macao’s vibrant tourism offerings to Thai residents, featuring interactive booths, performances, and gastronomic delights. The theme “Ma Ma,” meaning “come on” in Thai, symbolizes a warm invitation to explore Macao’s unique blend of culture and modernity.
The roadshow was inaugurated by MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes and key figures from regional tourism and economic bodies. They highlighted the strengthened air links between Macao and Thailand, which have significantly boosted visitor numbers. The roadshow runs from June 14 to 16 and showcases Macao’s allure through immersive experiences.
Interactive booths at the roadshow include a 360-degree photo zone, VR experiences, and interactive games where participants can win unique gifts. Star power is also leveraged, with appearances by Thai pop icons and influencers who share their experiences and tips about Macao, further enhancing its appeal to Thai visitors.
To mark the 25th anniversary of Macao’s establishment as a Special Administrative Region, MGTO has introduced the “My Treats for You” campaign, offering substantial discounts and promotions to international visitors. This campaign includes special incentives targeting the Thai market, underscoring MGTO’s commitment to attracting global visitors, particularly during festive periods, by presenting an attractive array of travel incentives and cultural experiences.
