The ‘International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao’ is captivating audiences at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf from June 14 to June 23. The centerpiece of the event, the ‘City of Gastronomy Showcase’, features 60 extraordinary culinary presentations by chefs representing 26 UNESCO-designated Creative Cities of Gastronomy from Asia to the Americas. This showcase not only highlights the rich culinary traditions from around the world but also plays a key role in fostering the synergistic growth of tourism and gastronomy in Macao.
Attendees can enjoy free tastings of specialties from five European, African, and Oceanian Cities of Gastronomy. Each day from 3:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. until June 23, the showcase offers six to seven different culinary sessions. Following the enthusiastic response to presentations by the Chinese Cities of Gastronomy, the stage now welcomes chefs from Bohicon (Benin), Launceston (Australia), Östersund (Sweden), Parma (Italy), and Thessaloniki (Greece). These chefs are hosting ten sessions at the Main Stage along Legend Boulevard, bringing unique dishes like Bomiwô, Cape Grim Beef Tartare, Mushroom Butter Foam, Flavours of Parma in a Risotto, and Octopus Giouvetsi. This event allows visitors to immerse themselves in a diverse gastronomic experience while chefs share their expertise and unique culinary traditions.
