The wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant was a grand affair, drawing in a constellation of Bollywood stars. One of the highlights of the celebrations was the energetic ‘baraat’ procession, where Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit stole the show with her signature grace and charisma.
Donning a pastel lehenga, Madhuri flawlessly recreated her iconic dance moves from the 90s Bollywood hit ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai,’ a song from the film ‘Khal Nayak.’ Her performance brought a wave of nostalgia to the event, as attendees were transported back to the era of her iconic dance numbers.
Madhuri was joined on the dance floor by other prominent Bollywood figures, including Raashii Khanna, Ananya Panday, and Orry. The group’s synchronized movements and infectious energy created a captivating atmosphere, turning the ‘baraat’ into a star-studded spectacle.
Towards the end of the performance, Madhuri’s husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, also joined in on the festivities, adding a personal touch to the celebration. Madhuri’s signature style, characterized by graceful movements and vivid expressions, took center stage, leaving the audience mesmerized.
Earlier in the day, Madhuri had made a stylish entrance at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, where Anant and Radhika exchanged vows. Shriram Nene complemented his wife’s look with an equally traditional outfit.
While fans were delighted to witness Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan dancing together, the absence of other prominent Bollywood figures, including BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, did not go unnoticed.
However, a plethora of Bollywood stars graced the occasion, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff, and Varun Dhawan, many accompanied by their families. Southern superstars Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, and KGF star Yash were also present.
Nita and Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son’s wedding festivities commenced with an intimate puja ceremony at the Ambanis’ Mumbai residence, Antilia, on June 29. On July 12, the wedding rituals began with an ‘Ode to Kashi,’ a theme inspired by the groom’s mother, Nita Ambani’s fascination with the ancient city of Kashi, Varanasi.
Earlier, offices in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) instructed employees to work from home, owing to the wedding festivities. The grandeur and star-studded nature of the event highlighted the significance of the occasion and the immense influence of the Ambani family.
