Madison International Realty, a prominent real estate private equity firm, has announced the appointment of Akaash Shah as Vice President of Investments. Shah, who will be based in Madison’s London office, will play a key role in driving forward the firm’s Real Estate Growth Platform Investing activities. He will report directly to Mo Saraiya, Managing Director of Madison’s Growth Platform Investment Strategy.
Shah brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent over a decade in the real estate sector. Most recently, he served as a Principal at Accord Group, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and executing strategic growth capital investments in early-to-mid stage real estate platforms across the UK and Europe. His responsibilities included identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and structuring and negotiating transactions.
Mo Saraiya, Managing Director of Madison’s Growth Platform Investment Strategy, expressed enthusiasm about Shah’s appointment, stating, “Akaash’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the real estate market will be invaluable as we continue to execute our growth platform investment strategy. Prior to his role at Accord Group, Shah held positions at HSBC in the Infrastructure & Real Estate Investment Banking Group and The Royal Bank of Scotland in the Investment Banking Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with First Class Honours from The University of Manchester.
