Orlando Magic point guard Jalen Suggs suffered a left knee injury early in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.
Suggs was forced to leave the game after colliding with Cavs superstar Donovan Mitchell in the opening quarter. He was helped off the floor by teammates and did not return.
The severity of Suggs’ injury is still unknown, but the Magic announced that he has been diagnosed with a left knee strain and is questionable to return to Game 2.
Suggs’ absence is a major blow to the Magic, who are already trailing the series 0-1. The Magic will now have to try to tie the series without their starting point guard.
Game 2 will resume shortly, and we will continue to provide updates on Suggs’ injury as they become available.
