Magma Aviation has announced a new partnership with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) starting this month. This collaboration focuses on ramp and warehouse cargo handling for Magma Aviation’s freighter operations at Liege Airport.
WFS will be responsible for managing cargo for a minimum of five regular Boeing 747-400F flight rotations each week, along with handling cargo for Magma Aviation’s charter freighter flights. This agreement signifies a significant commitment, with WFS handling over 50,000 tonnes of cargo annually for Magma Aviation and its clients.
This partnership highlights the strength of both companies’ logistics networks and operational excellence. Nathan De Valk, Managing Director, Belgium at WFS, commented on the importance of this contract gain for WFS in Liege, emphasizing the company’s eagerness to collaborate with Magma Aviation to develop tailored handling solutions.
James Le Poer Trench, Head of Operations at Magma Aviation, highlighted the benefits of this collaboration for Magma Aviation’s supply chain. He expressed confidence that leveraging WFS’s expertise and innovative solutions will drive increased efficiency, improve quality, and unlock new growth opportunities for the company.
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) operates from two warehouses in Liege, utilizing a combined 24,000 square meters of space. Liege Airport (LGG) is a crucial part of WFS’s global network, which encompasses over 215 freight and ground handling stations across 27 countries.
