Maharashtra Bhavan to Be Built in Jammu and Kashmir, CM Shinde Asserts

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has firmly announced the establishment of a Maharashtra Bhavan in Jammu and Kashmir. The project, backed by the unwavering support of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, ensures that any potential opposition will be resolutely thwarted. The Maharashtra government has successfully secured land in Kashmir for the construction of this significant facility, which will cater to the needs of tourists and officials from the state visiting the picturesque Valley.

The Maharashtra cabinet has given its official approval for the construction of the Maharashtra Bhavan, paving the way for the first state-run guest house to be established in the Valley since the abrogation of Article 370. The Union Territory administration’s revenue department has meticulously identified an optimal location for the guest house in the Ichgam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, situated in proximity to the Srinagar airport. The land earmarked for the project spans an expanse of 20 kanals, approximately 2.5 acres.

Chief Minister Shinde also took this opportunity to criticize the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi, highlighting that numerous projects were stalled during the tenure of the Uddhav Thackeray-led government in Maharashtra. He further asserted that Union Minister Shah did not provide any assurances to Thackeray regarding a power-sharing agreement in the state. The presence of Shah and Shinde in Amravati was primarily to lend their support to BJP’s Lok Sabha poll candidate, Navneet Rana.
