Amidst public outrage over a hit-and-run incident in Mumbai involving the son of a Shiv Sena leader, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday declared that those responsible will face consequences. A 45-year-old woman tragically lost her life after being struck by a BMW car allegedly driven by the son of the Shiv Sena leader from Palghar district in Maharashtra.
Expressing his condolences and commitment to justice, Chief Minister Shinde stated, “The Mumbai hit-and-run case that has occurred is deeply unfortunate. I have spoken with the police, and I assure you that whoever is found guilty will be held accountable.” Shinde emphasized the principle of equal treatment under the law, asserting, “We treat everyone equally. Whatever legal proceedings are necessary will be carried out.”
