Mahindra Bolero Neo Scores Low in GNCAP Tests with One Star for Child and Adult Safety

Mahindra Bolero Neo Fails to Impress in GNCAP Tests, Scores Only One Star

The Mahindra Bolero Neo, a popular SUV in rural India, has undergone the Global NCAP tests and the results are not encouraging. The vehicle scored a mere one star for both child and adult safety, raising concerns about its safety standards.

According to the GNCAP report, the Bolero Neo secured 20.26 points out of 34 for adult protection and 12.71 points out of 49 for child protection. The low ratings are attributed to the lack of crucial safety features such as three-point seat belts for all passengers, side airbags for passengers, and seat belt reminders for rear passengers.

In contrast to the Bolero Neo’s poor performance, other Mahindra models like the Thar, XUV700, XUV300, and Scorpio-N have received high safety ratings of 4 and 5 stars from GNCAP. This stark difference highlights the need for Mahindra to prioritize safety in the Bolero Neo and equip it with essential safety features.

Mahindra has released a statement acknowledging the GNCAP results and expressing its commitment to improving safety in its vehicles. However, the lack of key safety features in the Bolero Neo raises questions about Mahindra’s commitment to passenger safety, especially in a market where consumers are increasingly prioritizing safety in their vehicle purchases.
