The Bhajanlal government in Rajasthan has undertaken a major bureaucratic reshuffle, impacting 108 IAS officers. The announcement was made late Thursday, with 98 officers being transferred and 10 others receiving postings in the Industries Department.
One of the most noteworthy appointments in the reshuffle is that of Tina Dabi, who rose to prominence after topping the 2015 UPSC Civil Services Exam. She has been appointed as the Barmer District Collector. Her husband, fellow IAS officer Pradeep Gawande, has been appointed as the Jalore Collector. The couple’s wedding in 2023 had garnered significant media attention.
While the reshuffle saw several changes, some key positions remained unchanged. Akhil Arora continues as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Finance Department, a position he has held since October 2020. Similarly, Anand Kumar retains his position as Principal Secretary of the Home Department, a post he has occupied since October 2022.
The reshuffle also brought about changes in key departments. Shubra Singh, the ACS of the Health Department, has been appointed as the Roadways Chairman. Gayatri A Rathore has moved from the Tourism Department to become the Principal Secretary of the Health Department. Bhaskar Sawant will now head the PHED department as Principal Secretary.

* Vikas Sitaramji Bhale to Chairman of the Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Authority from Animal Husbandry
* Neeraj K Pawan to administrative secretary in the Sports Department from Banswara Divisional Commissioner
* Rashmi Gupta to Jaipur Divisional Commissioner replacing Aarushi Ajay Malik
* Jitendra Soni to Jaipur Collector with additional charge of Dudu and Jaipur rural collector
* Pragya Kewalramani to additional charge of Udaipur and Banswara Divisional Commissioner from Udaipur TAD commissioner
The state had been anticipating this bureaucratic reshuffle for several months since the formation of the new government in December 2023.
