Bollywood actress Malaika Arora has recently rented out her apartment in the affluent neighborhood of Bandra West in Mumbai. According to documents obtained by Zapkey, the property has been leased to costume designer Kashish Hans for a monthly rent of ₹1.57 lakh for a period of three years.
Situated in the exclusive Pali Hill area, the apartment is subject to a 5% annual increase in rent. The initial monthly rent for the first year stands at ₹1.5 lakh, rising to ₹1.57 lakh for the second year, and ₹1.65 lakh for the third year. The rental agreement was officially registered on April 29, 2024, and the tenant has deposited a security deposit of ₹4.5 lakh.
It’s worth noting that Malaika Arora previously rented this same apartment to Jeffrey Goldenberg, owner of The Jeff Goldenberg Studio, for a monthly rent of ₹1.2 lakh.
Interestingly, Malaika’s boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor, also recently sold his apartment in the 81 Aureate building in Bandra West for a substantial ₹16 crore in 2022. The spacious 4,364-square-foot flat was located on the 19th floor of the building on KC Marg.
Malaika herself owns a flat in the same Aureate building. In the past, she had filed a complaint with the real estate regulator MahaRERA against the developers for failing to deliver possession of the apartment she had booked for ₹14.5 crore. However, in November 2021, both the developer and Arora reached an amicable settlement, and the possession of the flat was handed over to her.
