Malaika Arora Rents Out Mumbai Apartment for ₹1.57 Lakh Crore

Malaika Arora, a renowned Bollywood actress and fitness enthusiast, has recently rented out her luxurious apartment in Mumbai’s affluent Bandra West neighborhood to Kashish Hans, a renowned costume designer. The monthly rental fee for this upscale property stands at an impressive 1.57 lakh crore, with the lease period spanning three years. This information was obtained from reliable documentation procured by Zapkey, an esteemed real estate intelligence provider.

According to the rental agreement, the apartment is situated in the prestigious Pali Hill area of Bandra West. The rent will undergo a modest 5% annual increase, ensuring a gradual adjustment to the prevailing market conditions. The monthly breakdown of the rental payments reveals that the tenant will be responsible for 1.5 lakh in the first year, 1.57 lakh in the second year, and 1.65 lakh in the third and final year of the lease.

The rental agreement, which bears the date April 29, 2024, further stipulates that Kashish Hans will be paying a monthly rent of 1.65 lakh by the third year of occupancy. Prior to moving into the residence, the tenant made a security deposit of 4.5 lakh, as per the documentation reviewed by Hindustan Times (HT).

It is important to note that Malaika Arora has not yet officially confirmed this real estate transaction. Earlier, Malaika Arora had rented out the same property in Bandra for a monthly rent of 1.2 lakh. The tenant at that time was Jeffrey Goldenberg, the owner of The Jeff Goldenberg Studio.

In a separate real estate transaction, Malaika Arora’s boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor, sold an apartment in the 81 Aureate building in Bandra West for a substantial sum of 16 crore in 2022. Interestingly, Malaika Arora is also known to own a flat in the same Aureate building.

Malaika Arora has faced a legal dispute with the builder of this property regarding the possession of the apartment. According to an earlier report by HT, the actress had approached the real estate regulator MahaRERA, alleging that the developer had failed to deliver possession of the property on time. However, this dispute was amicably resolved in 2021, bringing the matter to a close.
