During the first eleven days of the month, the nation attracted 71,589 tourists, representing a notable 17.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The highest single-day arrival was recorded on August 3rd, with 7,012 tourists entering the country, while the lowest number, 5,579, was recorded on August 6th.
The daily average tourist arrival for 2024 stands at 5,601, with tourists staying an average of 7.7 days. The Maldives boasts an impressive 1,213 operational tourist properties, offering a total of 62,608 beds. Tourist resorts dominate the accommodation sector, providing the largest share of beds.
