West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accused the BJP of crafting a blueprint of lies in order to win the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at an election rally in the Birbhum district, Banerjee claimed that the BJP possesses two top leaders who are looting the country but defaming Bengal to hide their wrongdoings.
“BJP is chalking out a blueprint to win polls by spreading lies. Will you vote for a riot plotter PM?” Banerjee questioned.
She went on to criticize the BJP’s portrayal of the Sandeshkhali incident, saying “You [BJP] have heaped disrespect, indignity to crores of mothers and sisters of Bengal. You offered them money to level charges. You should be ashamed of such an act.”
Banerjee further alleged that the Modi government is expending vast sums on advertisements in print and digital media, while neglecting to provide assistance to the impoverished people of Bengal. She urged the public to reject the BJP’s divisive politics and support the Trinamool Congress in the upcoming elections.
