Man Arrested for Reckless Stunt on Moving BMW in Mumbai

Following the fatal Pune Porsche car crash, a 21-year-old man, Subham Mitalia, was apprehended in Mumbai for violating traffic laws. Mitalia was observed lying on the hood of a BMW operated by a 17-year-old boy in Kalyan, Mumbai, on Saturday. The incident was captured on camera and widely disseminated on social media. According to authorities, the BMW belongs to the teenager’s father, a government employee. Mitalia was taken into custody, and a case was filed against both the teenage driver and his father. Inspired by social media videos, the teenage boy reportedly persuaded his father to purchase the second-hand BMW for approximately 5 lakh. The case has also been registered against the father for permitting his underage son to operate a vehicle without a license, as per a police official. This arrest comes amidst ongoing controversy surrounding a shocking accident in Pune, where a 17-year-old boy driving a Porsche Taycan Turbo S killed two people. The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) revoked the bail granted to the teenage accused in that case, and he has been remanded to a juvenile detention facility for 14 days, until June 5. The minor’s father has also been taken into police custody.
