Armed Police in Standoff with Blood-Covered Man Barricaded in Home
Armed police are engaged in a tense standoff with a half-naked man covered in blood who has barricaded himself inside a residence on Markham Road in Charminster, Bournemouth. The man, seen wearing only underpants and sunglasses, is reportedly armed with a knife.
The incident began at approximately 6am on Monday morning when concerned residents alerted authorities. Witnesses reported seeing the blood-covered man hanging out of a window and shouting.
According to a Dorset police spokesperson, the property’s windows have been shattered, and the man is in possession of a knife. Emergency services, including paramedics, are on the scene. The road has been closed to facilitate the safe resolution of the incident.
Residents have stated that the man has been leaning out the window, leaving blood smears on the window sill. The situation is ongoing, and armed police are working to apprehend the individual without harm.
