The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been deployed after one man was found dead on the waterfront of White Rock, B.C., on Tuesday, according to police. White Rock RCMP Const. Chantal Sears said the body was found in the 15400-block of Marine Drive, a few blocks east of the White Rock Pier. No further details have been released. It’s the second violent incident on the city’s waterfront in three days. On Sunday, RCMP said they received a report of a stabbing near the pier around 9 p.m. PT. A man was stabbed in the neck and sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a seemingly random attack, police said. White Rock Coun. Christopher Trevelyan said earlier Tuesday that the attack was “very unusual” for the normally quiet area. Police have not said whether the two incidents are connected.
