Man Killed by Wife’s Relatives over Wedding Gift Dispute

A man was allegedly killed by his wife’s relatives following an argument over a wedding gift of an LED TV and a gold ring. The incident occurred on Tuesday in Kadarabad, and five people, including the victim’s wife and brother, have been detained. According to police, the victim, Chandra Prakash Mishra, wanted to gift the items to his sister on April 26, but his wife, Kshama Mishra, opposed it. When Mishra questioned the interference of Kshama’s relatives, they allegedly attacked him with sticks, causing severe injuries. Mishra was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The accused are being interrogated, and further investigation is underway.

Police Circle Officer (CO) Fatehpur Dr. Binu Singh said that Chandra Prakash Mishra and his wife Kshama had been married for several years and had children together. The accused have been identified as Kshama Mishra, her brother, and three other relatives. They are currently in police custody and are being questioned about their involvement in the murder.
