Man on Parole Accused of Stalking, Raping, and Robbing Woman in Manhattan

A man on parole has been arrested and charged with stalking, raping, and robbing a woman in Manhattan. Ellow Williams is accused of following the 23-year-old victim for several blocks before entering her apartment building behind her. Once inside, he put a mask over his face and approached her from behind, placing her in a chokehold and threatening to shoot her. He then sexually assaulted her, causing her to lose consciousness several times during the vicious attack.

After raping the woman, Williams stole $40 from her before fleeing the scene. The victim was treated at a local hospital and released. Williams, 30, was remanded without bail during his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court. He is scheduled to be back in court on April 29. Williams has five prior arrests in New York City and spent nearly two years in prison for a robbery conviction before being released on parole in March 2023.
