In a violent incident that occurred overnight in Houston’s Third Ward, a man was shot multiple times while driving. The investigation has led to the identification of two separate scenes connected to the crime.
First, officers discovered the victim’s silver Jaguar SUV crashed on Arbor Street near Emancipation Avenue, exhibiting front-end damage. A thorough examination revealed the presence of blood within the vehicle.
Upon further investigation, the authorities learned that the victim had been shot multiple times in the abdomen, leg, and arm. Despite his injuries, he mustered the strength to flee the scene and seek refuge in a nearby club.
Swiftly responding to the emergency, officers administered first aid to the victim, including the application of a tourniquet, until paramedics arrived. He was subsequently transported to the hospital and is currently reported to be in stable condition.
Another vehicle, unrelated to the victim, was also struck by gunfire during the incident. At the scene, investigators collected a substantial number of shell casings.
In addition to interviewing potential witnesses, investigators are actively reviewing surveillance footage from cameras situated near the crime scene.
At this juncture, law enforcement officials have released a limited description of a possible suspect vehicle: an older-model white Cadillac. Lieutenant J.P. Horelica urges anyone with information pertaining to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers or the Houston Police Department.
As the investigation progresses, further updates will be provided to the public.
