Wolves are set to add Manchester City midfielder Tommy Doyle to their squad on a permanent basis, according to reports. The 22-year-old has been on loan at Molineux this season, making 29 appearances in all competitions. Wolves have an option to make the move permanent and are expected to do so in the summer.
Doyle has yet to score or assist in the Premier League this season, but he has impressed with his performances in midfield. He has been a key player for Wolves in their push for a top-half finish in the Premier League.
Doyle is a product of the Manchester City academy and has had loan spells at Hamburg, Cardiff and Sheffield United. He is the grandson of two Manchester City legends, Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe.
Doyle’s move to Wolves would be a blow to Manchester City, but it would be a good move for the player. He would get more regular playing time at Wolves and could help them achieve their goals in the Premier League.
