Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly vying to sign RB Leipzig center-back Castello Lukeba, with both clubs keeping a close eye on his development. The 21-year-old French defender has made significant strides this season, becoming a regular in Leipzig’s starting XI and impressing with his performances. Despite making his senior international debut for France last year, Lukeba has since dropped back into the French U23s setup. Nevertheless, his performances for Leipzig have caught the attention of several top clubs, including United and Chelsea. Both clubs are said to be reluctant to meet the €70m release clause in Lukeba’s current deal, and the summer of 2025 has been earmarked as a potential time for them to make their move. United are also reportedly interested in Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi, while Atletico Madrid and Juventus are said to be keen on acquiring the 25-year-old Colombian international.
