Manjummel Boys Makers Caught in Legal Trouble Over Allegations of Cheating

Manjummel Boys, the Malayalam survival thriller that achieved box office success and international recognition, has become embroiled in legal trouble. The film’s makers, including producer and actor Soubin Shahir and partner Shawn Antony, are facing allegations of cheating and financial irregularities.

According to a complaint filed with the Ernakulam First Class Magistrate Court, the production company, Parava Films, failed to share the promised 40% profit from the film’s earnings. The complainant, Siraj Valiyathara Hameed, claims that he invested approximately $2.6 million in the film and was entitled to a share of the profits, amounting to $4.8 million.

The complaint further alleges that the production company did not repay the invested amount and owes the complainant a total of $840k, which includes direct transfers to the company’s bank account and Antony’s personal account. As a result of these allegations, the court has frozen the accounts of the film producers.

The police have identified Antony as the main accused in the case, raising concerns about the film’s financial transparency. These allegations have the potential to tarnish the reputation of the film and its makers, who have previously enjoyed critical and commercial success.

The case is currently under investigation, and further updates are expected in the coming days.
