Maple Leafs Tie Series with 3-2 Game 2 Win Over Bruins

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins are tied 1-1 in their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series after the Leafs won Game 2 by a score of 3-2 on Monday night in Boston.

Auston Matthews scored the game-winning goal with 7:54 remaining in regulation, giving him his fourth career three-point playoff game. Max Domi and John Tavares also scored for the Leafs, while Ilya Samsonov made 27 saves in net.

Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnak scored for the Bruins, who led 2-1 after one period but were unable to take advantage of a late power play in the third.

The series now shifts to Toronto for Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Friday.
