Marriott International has announced plans to expand its managed hotel portfolio in India. The company will be taking over the management of six properties currently operated under franchise agreements with SAMHI Hotels Ltd. This strategic move will strengthen Marriott’s presence in major Indian business centers.
By October 2024, six hotels will complete their transition to Marriott management:
* Fairfield by Marriott Mahindra World City
* Four Points by Sheraton Chennai OMR
* Four Points by Sheraton Jaipur
* Four Points by Sheraton Pune
* Fairfield by Marriott Hyderabad
* Fairfield by Marriott Ahmedabad
These hotels will gain significant advantages from being part of Marriott’s extensive global network. The shift to managed operations will bring increased visibility through Marriott’s worldwide sales and distribution channels, boosting revenue potential and enhancing guest experiences.
One of the key benefits for the hotels is access to Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive loyalty program. With over 210 million members, the program offers exclusive benefits and rewards to guests worldwide, driving increased bookings and customer loyalty.
In addition to the benefits of the Marriott Bonvoy program, the hotels are set to undergo renovations to meet Marriott’s high standards for comfort and service. These upgrades will ensure a top-tier experience for all guests, further enhancing the brand’s reputation in India.
The move by Marriott International to expand its managed portfolio in India underscores the company’s commitment to growing its presence in this key market. By leveraging its global expertise and resources, Marriott aims to bring its signature hospitality experience to a wider audience in India, while also supporting the growth of the Indian hospitality industry.
