Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson expressed his vehement disapproval of such occurrences, asserting that they had no place within Swedish society. The evening event, hosted by the Left Party, aimed to address the concerning growth of fascist sentiments in Sweden. However, the proceedings were abruptly disrupted by a group of masked assailants who stormed the venue. Witnesses reported that the attackers utilized self-defense spray and hurled smoke grenades, creating a chaotic and threatening atmosphere. In addition to the chemical irritants, the assailants also resorted to physical violence, targeting those present at the meeting. Images captured by anti-racist foundation Expo, which had a representative participating in the event, depicted distraught individuals outside the venue, one of whom sustained a visible head wound.
