Massive Drug Seizures: ICE Arrests Illegal Migrants and Sweden Confiscates Record Cocaine

ICE Arrests Illegal Migrants with Drug Convictions

In a significant operation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested more than 200 illegal immigrants with prior convictions for drug-related offenses, including narcotics distribution and repeated drug possession. This extensive sweep targeted individuals with a history of endangering communities through illicit drug activities.

Record Cocaine Seizure in Sweden

Swedish customs authorities have made one of the country’s largest-ever cocaine confiscations, seizing approximately 1.4 tons of the substance at Nynashamn harbor, just south of Stockholm. Following a tip-off, customs officials intercepted a container containing the massive cocaine haul, which was destined for the European market. The port of Nynashamn serves as a transit point for drug shipments, and Sweden has witnessed a significant surge in cocaine trafficking in recent years.

Six individuals have been apprehended and are being investigated for their alleged involvement in the smuggling operation. The unprecedented haul has sent shockwaves through the Swedish narcotics scene. In 2022, Swedish customs seized a record 1,812 pounds of cocaine, demonstrating the escalating flow of illegal drugs into the country.
