The second annual Mat Return Open adult wrestling tournament will take place on Saturday, August 12, at Memorial Hall on the Muhlenberg College campus. The tournament will feature men’s and women’s divisions, with weight classes ranging from 130 pounds to unlimited for men and 101 pounds to unlimited for women. The tournament will be conducted in a round-robin format, with three 90-second periods for men and two 3-minute periods for women. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division, as well as an outstanding wrestler award. Registration for the tournament is $45 by Thursday, August 10, or $60 for walk-ins. There is also an optional second division for $15. Tickets for spectators are $5 for adults and $2 for students. A live-stream broadcast of the tournament will be available later this week, and there will be a concession stand on-site. The Mat Return Open is a great opportunity for adult wrestlers to compete and stay active in the sport. The tournament is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced wrestlers.
