British singer-songwriter Matty Healy has reacted to speculation that several songs on Taylor Swift’s new album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ are about him. Healy, the frontman of The 1975, was approached by a photographer in Los Angeles and asked about the alleged ‘diss track.’ ‘I haven’t really listened to that much of it, but I’m sure it’s good,’ Healy said, adding that he had not had a chance to listen to the album.
While Swift has not explicitly confirmed that any of the songs are about Healy, fans have interpreted certain lyrics as references to their rumored relationship. The first track, ‘Fortnight,’ featuring Post Malone, includes lyrics such as ‘And I love you, it’s ruining my life, I touched you for only a fortnight.’ Other songs, including ‘Guilty As Sin?’, also appear to contain references to Healy.
Healy’s appearance during Swift’s Eras tour in Nashville last May and Swift’s performance of two The 1975 songs at their London gig in February 2023 have further fueled speculation about their relationship. However, Healy has not publicly confirmed or denied the rumors.
