The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the Mavelikkara Lok Sabha Constituency election in Kerala, which is one of the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. The voting for the constituency will be held on April 26, 2024 (Phase 2), and the results will be declared on June 4, 2024.
The prominent candidates in the Mavelikara Lok Sabha Constituency for the 2024 elections are Baiju Kalashala from Bharath Dharma Jana Sena, CA Arun Kumar from Communist Party Of India, and Kodikunnil Suresh from Indian National Congress.
In the 2019 General Assembly Elections, the Mavelikara constituency witnessed a fiercely contested battle, with a voter turnout of 74.11%. INC candidate Kodikunnil Suresh won the election with a margin of 61,138 votes, securing 4,40,415 votes and defeating Chittayam Gopakumar of the CPI, who received 3,79,277 votes.
