McDonald’s is spicing up its menu with a brand-new vegan dessert, aptly named Scoop. This delectable treat comes in two tantalizing flavors: Choco for chocolate lovers and Strawberry for those who prefer a fruity burst. Served in a tub, Scoop offers a ‘deliciously smooth and creamy’ experience, reminiscent of summer in every spoonful, according to McDonald’s. However, this vegan delight is currently only available in 52 restaurants across the North West of England, including Manchester, Rochdale, Ardwick, Bury, Denton, Stockport, and Ashton-Under-Lyne. The trial period runs from June 12 to September 3, with hopes of expanding the vegan dessert nationwide in 2025.
In addition to Scoop, McDonald’s offers other vegan options, such as the McPlant and Vegetable Deluxe burgers, Veggie Dippers, the Spicy Veggie wrap, Fries, Cucumber Sticks, and the Fruit Bag. And if you’re looking for a refreshing vegan treat, the McFreezy, a frozen ice dessert with fruit juice and puree, is available in Orange or Mango and Pineapple flavors. You can find the McFreezy in 187 restaurants across the North West region and select locations in the Republic of Ireland.
But wait, there’s more! McDonald’s is also hosting a fun Surprize Fries promotion. Simply order Medium or Large Fries, and you could win a range of prizes, including up to £200 in cash. Millions of other prizes are up for grabs, some of which you’ll win instantly, while others require entering a code in the MyMcDonald’s App.
And the excitement doesn’t end there. McDonald’s is hitting the road with its food truck to distribute free fries at some of the biggest festivals around the UK, as part of the brand’s 50th anniversary celebration. Over 2,000 portions of fries will be given away, along with exclusive merchandise like bum bags, bucket hats, and Wayferer style sunglasses. Keep an eye out for the food truck at events such as Parklife in Manchester, Isle of Wight festival, Wireless, Flackstock, and Leeds Festival.
