A McDonald’s customer unleashed a violent outburst over missing sauce in his order and allegedly shot a Good Samaritan who tried to intervene.
According to an affidavit obtained by FOX 35, Wesley Bullock, 48, became enraged at a worker in the drive-thru of the Zephyrhills, Florida, restaurant after discovering his order lacked sauce. A witness observed the confrontation and approached Bullock, urging him to calm down. However, Bullock reacted aggressively, grabbing the witness by the throat and punching him.
The McDonald’s worker intervened to break up the fight, after which Bullock and the witness drove away. As the witness headed to a nearby gas station, Bullock reportedly cut him off, exited his vehicle, and pointed a handgun at the witness’s forehead. The gun failed to fire, but Bullock struck the witness in the head with the weapon.
According to the affidavit, the witness stated that Bullock then re-racked the gun or removed the safety and aimed it at him. In fear of his life, the witness wrestled the gun from Bullock, retrieved it to his car, and fled the scene while calling the police.
The witness sustained a deep head wound from Bullock’s alleged assault, a bite on his finger, and an injury to his pinky, possibly caused by a bullet. Surveillance footage corroborated the witness’s account.
Bullock was apprehended on April 16 and charged with aggravated battery and burglary. He is currently being held at Pasco County Jail on a $400,000 bond. This incident marks another altercation at a McDonald’s, following a similar occurrence in Brooklyn, New York, in 2022 involving a customer shooting a worker over cold French fries.
