McDonald’s UK Unveils Limited-Edition Birthday Menu with New Desserts, Returning Favourites, and a Farewell to Some Classics

McDonald’s is kicking off its birthday celebrations in the UK with a special limited-edition menu launching this July. In honor of its 50th anniversary in October, the fast food chain has unveiled new treats and brought back some iconic burgers.

Three new desserts will be available starting July 17th, including the Milkybar Raspberry Ripple McFlurry, Munchies Cookie Dough McFlurry, and Birthday Cake Donut. The colorful donut features a strawberry filling, buttercream icing, and sprinkles, while the Milkybar McFlurry combines soft ice cream, mini Milkybar chocolate drops, and raspberry sauce. The Munchies McFlurry includes ice cream, chocolate-coated Munchies biscuit pieces, and caramel cookie dough sauce.

For those seeking savory options, the epic Double Big Mac and Double Big Mac with bacon are back. Additionally, the McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse, last seen in October 2023, makes its return. This chicken burger features crispy coated chicken topped with smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion, and lettuce, all nestled in a sourdough sesame bun.

Adding to the excitement, McDonald’s is introducing Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers, available as a side or sharebox. These mozzarella bites are flavored with garlic and chives, coated in a ciabatta-style breadcrumb coating, and served with a rich tomato dip. The popular chicken sharebox, offering Chicken Selects, Chicken Nuggets, and a variety of dips, will remain on the menu throughout the summer.

However, this menu revamp also means the departure of some current items. The Hat Trick burger, a triple stack with two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup in a glazed sesame seed bun, will be leaving the menu. The Skittles McFlurry, Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie, and Galaxy Caramel McFlurry will also be discontinued, with the latter replaced by the new McFlurry flavors.

If you want to try any of these limited-edition items, you’ll need to act fast, as they’ll be available until July 16th. This launch comes shortly after McDonald’s introduced the American favorite Oreo Frappe to the UK on June 26th. This icy drink features a vanilla base, blended with ice and Oreo pieces, topped with cream and more Oreo pieces. The Oreo Frappe is priced at £3.09 for a regular and £3.39 for a large and will be available until September 3rd.
