McDonald’s continues to evolve its menu with the introduction of new Happy Meal options and main menu updates. As part of a limited-time trial, Happy Meals now offer even more choices for children and adults alike.
For the first time in years, McDonald’s is adding Mayo Chicken to the Happy Meal lineup. This popular item from the Saver Menu features crispy coated chicken, lettuce, and mayo in a soft bun. For seafood enthusiasts, the new Fish Bites offer bite-sized pollock pieces coated in a crispy panko breadcrumb and served with a choice of dip.
To quench thirst and satisfy sweet cravings, McDonald’s is introducing cartons of flavored milk in chocolate, strawberry, and banana varieties. The McFreezy, an icy frozen ice dessert made with fruit juice and puree, comes in refreshing orange, mango, and pineapple flavors.
These new Happy Meal items are not only available for children but also as part of the main menu. Adults can indulge in a serving of nine Fish Bites for £5.79 or cool down with a McFreezy for £1.59.
The trial is currently taking place at 187 restaurants across the North West region of the UK and in selected places in the Republic of Ireland. If successful, these items could be rolling out nationwide next year.
In addition to the Happy Meal updates, McDonald’s has unveiled its summer 2024 menu, which includes several exciting additions. The Hat Trick burger features three patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup, all served in a glazed sesame seed bun for £5.89. Sharing boxes, including a chicken share box and a nine-piece Chicken Selects sharebox, offer convenient options for groups.
Classic dips have also received a makeover with new and improved recipes. Garlic Mayo and Sweet and Smoky BBQ are now permanent additions to the menu, joining Sweet Chilli as the perfect chicken companions.
For cheese lovers, the iconic mozzarella bites are making a comeback with a rich tomato dip. Sweet treats include a Skittles McFlurry and a Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie.
McDonald’s has also introduced a 3 for £3 meal deal, allowing customers to mix and match from a variety of menu items, including small fries, a cheeseburger, a hamburger, Mayo Chicken, four Chicken McNuggets, apple pie, veggie dippers, a side salad, and a Mini McFlurry (from the core range of Oreo, Maltesers, or Smarties). This offer is available for a limited time, ending on June 11.
