The renowned Medellin Flower Fair is making a triumphant return in 2024, bringing a captivating blend of music, artistry, and cultural celebrations to the city of Medellin, Colombia. The fair kicks off in style with an inaugural concert at the Obelisk area, anticipated to draw over 20,000 attendees.
The festivities continue with a series of musical performances on artistic and musical stages, featuring a diverse lineup of acclaimed artists including El Combo de las Estrellas, Arelys Henao, Grupo Gale, Fernando Gonzalez, El Binomio de Oro, Dalmata, and many more.
One of the highlights of the fair is the Avenida Primavera: Calles, Ritmos y Flores parade, a vibrant display of floats and comparsas that pays homage to the rich musical heritage of Medellin. This celebration embraces a spectrum of musical genres, including salsa, tropical, vallenato, and urban styles, reflecting the city’s diverse cultural tapestry. The parade is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7th, at 3:00 pm, traversing Regional Avenue from Industriales to Plaza Mayor.
Another iconic event, the Silleteros Parade, will feature the participation of over 530 silleteros, showcasing their meticulously crafted flower arrangements. This captivating spectacle will take place on Sunday, August 11th, along Regional Avenue, from the Guayaquil Bridge to Plaza Mayor.
