Megan Thee Stallion Accused of Harassment and Hostile Workplace in Lawsuit

Megan Thee Stallion Faces Harassment Lawsuit from Former Cameraman

Megan Thee Stallion finds herself at the center of a lawsuit alleging harassment and the creation of a hostile work environment. Former cameraman Emilio Garcia filed the complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, detailing a series of incidents that he claims made working for the artist unbearable.

Garcia began working as Megan’s personal cameraman in 2018 before quitting his previous job to work for her full-time the following year. He remained in that role until June 2023 when he was fired by Roc Nation, the company that manages Megan.

According to the lawsuit, the alleged harassment occurred during a trip to Ibiza in 2022. Garcia claims that while in an SUV with Megan and three other women, the star engaged in sexual activity with one of the women in his presence. The next day, Megan reportedly confronted Garcia about witnessing the incident and demanded that he keep it a secret.

Garcia also alleges that he was subjected to a barrage of sexual and fat-shaming comments during the trip, causing him significant emotional distress. He claims that Megan called him a ‘fat bitch’ and told him to ‘spit your food out’ and ‘you don’t need to be eating.’

Following the trip, Garcia asserts that his compensation structure was altered from a $4,000 USD monthly flat rate to a pay-per-gig system, resulting in a reduction in his work opportunities. He was scheduled for a gig in June 2023 but was fired by Roc Nation the night before.

Garcia is seeking compensation for unpaid wages, overtime, and other benefits, as well as punitive damages, statutory penalties, and wage penalties under California law. He alleges that he suffered physical and emotional distress, physical injuries, and a loss in earnings due to the toxic work environment he claims to have endured.
